Right now a big name to watch is that of John Lackey, who is a name that the Red Sox have been trying to trade but haven’t yet found a deal they like for. The trade of Jon Lester earlier on Thursday morning was a shocker and sort of set the market in motion for a Lackey trade to at least be seriously attempted.
According to Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe, the Red Sox are looking at trading John Lackey with a lot of seriousness and the chances he’s moved have gone up to 75 percent.

That’s a pretty good chance that Lackey is moved, which isn’t all that surprising given what we’ve been hearing lately in terms of teams interested in him. The real question is where will he be traded as saying you want to trade him but finding a good deal you like for him are two wildly different things.
