The praise for Derrick Rose just continues to pour in day after day at the USA Basketball training camp. Rose, who is returning from a torn meniscus, has looked excellent thus far in training camp as the team prepares for the FIBA World Cup.

Yesterday it was assistant coach Jim Boeheim stating that Rose has “been the most impressive guy here”. Today, it is head coach Mike Krzyzewski with the high praise for Derrick Rose’s play thus far:

More from NBA

Rose is clearly playing his heart out in order to prove all of his doubters wrong. Many naysayers believed that Rose could not return to his MVP form after suffering a torn ACL and torn meniscus in back to back years, and missing nearly two entire seasons of NBA basketball.

Evidently all the signs are pointing to Rose returning to his superstar form, but the question remains if he can stay healthy throughout an NBA season.

Derrick’s head coach in the NBA, Tom Thibodeau of the Chicago Bulls, is also working with the USA Basketball team, and continued the praise for Rose’s play thus far:

If Rose can get through the FIBA World Cup playing at a high level, he will be able to go into the NBA season with a lot of confidence, which is bad news for the Eastern Conference.
