Baltimore Ravens running back and former Pro Bowler Ray Rice has admitted that he made a big mistake by hitting his fiancée (now wife) and subsequently dragging her out of an Atlantic City casino elevator unconscious earlier this year.
The incident was caught on camera, and sent shock waves through the NFL and sports community as a whole.
For his actions, the NFL and Roger Goodell decided to give Rice a slap on the wrist and suspended him for only two games.
Today, Rice took to the podium after Ravens practice to discuss his wrongdoings and to apologize once again. Below are a few quotes from the press conference.
Rice on whether 2-game suspension was enough: "I'm being punished on a day-to-day basis." Said he wouldn't have appealed no matter what.
