Despite what we may want to think, the Dwyane Wade – LeBron James relationship hasn’t deteriorated since the superstars decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wade, as he should, revealed in an interview with the Sun Sentinel that he fully supported James decision to return home.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

From the Sun Sentinel:

"“As his friend, I’m just supportive,” said Wade, who made no recruiting pitches to James. “As crazy as that might sound, I’m supportive of my friends doing what makes them happy. Obviously, same thing with him in this situation. You’ve gotta do what makes you happy — selfishly do what makes you happy. The decision to go back home was that.”"

While LeBron James’ decision to leave the Miami Heat greatly affected how much Dwyane Wade will earn over the next two seasons (Wade opted out of the remaining $40 million from his 2010 deal), Wade’s comments are proof that, even in a business where decision such as this must be made, their friendship is bigger than them being teammates. If Wade was put in a situation similar to James, the same support would’ve been given.

Now LeBron and D. Wade will be on opposite teams for the first time in four years. Hopefully we’re able to get at least one classic James vs. Wade matchup throughout the season.
