Mookie Betts took a little tour of the deepest recesses of Fenway Park on this play to rob former Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury of an extra-base hit. Betts needs darn near full extension to leap and make the grab.

More from Boston Red Sox

After that run into deepest, darkest center field, Betts has seen just about all of Fenway Park. There may be a few little nooks and crannies that he hasn’t yet witnessed. The secret places rookies don’t get to find out about.

I’ve heard a rumor – this is just a rumor mind you – that if you push a secret panel in the back of the bullpen, a door opens up that leads you down through some steam tunnels into a giant room where Bob Stanley used to keep the corpses of all the beach balls he stabbed to death with his rake.

Apparently Bob would display the deflated beach balls like scalps. It was a little bit disturbing, I heard. Someone cleared all the dead beach balls out and now the room is used to house Papi’s porn stash. This is all just a rumor.
