As soon as the Paul George injury occurred, Pacers owner Herb Simon was called to be informed about what exactly happened.
Pacers president Larry Bird subsequently released a brief statement as the team waits for more information.
"“We are aware of the injury sustained by Paul George in Friday night’s Team USA game in Las Vegas and we are obviously greatly concerned. At this time our thoughts and prayers are with Paul. We are still gathering details and we will have an updated statement Saturday.”"
George’s season is likely over, and now the Pacers will have to revamp their plan for 2014-15.
You never like to see an injury take place, especially in a meaningless game to one of the league’s brightest stars.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Paul George as he begins to make what will hopefully be a full and speedy recovery.
