There are obvious things in this world and then there are things that puzzle us, and the time frame for Paul George’s return after he broke his leg on Friday night is a little bit of both.

More from Indiana Pacers

It’s obvious that he’s going to be out for a very long time to recover, but it’s a little bit puzzling that this is suh a huge revelation to people wondering how long he’s going to be out and resting his leg. According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com, the Indiana Pacers are likely to shut down Paul George for the entire season this year following his leg nearly snapping off like a twig.

"Sources close to the situation told ESPN that while there was no additional damage besides the fractures, doctors believe George likely will miss all of next season, though no official prognosis has been given."

George’s leg injury was eerily reminiscent of the same that former Louisville Cardinals player Kevin Ware suffered a few years back in the NCAA march Madness Tournament. The angle at which he came down on his leg — both men — was gruesome abd sc=ickening to say the least and both were and will be out for a long time. Ware’s was a lot worse it seemed, but George’s seems just as bad from a contextual standpoint as the Pacers season may now be over before it could even begin.
