Despite offering the best young power forward in the game in exchange for Wiggins, the Wolves just can’t find a way to swap Kevin Love for anything they want. The fact that Wiggins is so coveted by the Wolves is a big reason for confusion in Wiggins’ rookie season and it’s part of why he’s isolated from some of his teammates.
According to the New York Post, the Cavaliers rookie still hasn’t talked to LeBron James since the two came to Cleveland within weeks of one another.
"And for those who want to try and develop any conspiracy theories about whether or not Wiggins is likely to remain in Cleveland, he said he still hasn’t spoken to James — who also didn’t mention Wiggins in his letter in Sports Illustrated announcing his return to the Cavaliers.“No. I’m sure he’s busy,” Wiggins said. “I feel like I’m busy, so I am sure he’s busy.”"
Wiggins is the primary target for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Kevin Love trade, as the Wolves are remaining adamant that a deal will not happen without Wiggins being involved. The Cavs have similarly stated that Wiggins will not be traded which has led to the standoff which has LeBron James and Andrew Wiggins possibly parting ways with one another before they can speak a single word.
