Fantasy Football: Bill O’Brien says DeAndre Hopkins ‘much improved’ for Texans
By Mike Dyce
The Houston Texans have a new head coach in Bill O’Brien and are looking to turn around the franchise. They’ve also had to deal with Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson being sidelined due to a hamstring injury and voicing his displeasure with the organization and advocating to part ways with the team.

That has given wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins a chance to shine and he is taking advantage of the opportunity.
“He’s one of the guys out there that I think is much improved from April 7, when we started, to where we are now,” Texans head coach Bill O’Brien said Saturday, via the Houston Chronicle. “He just has to keep it going. He’s a very hard worker. It’s very important to him. He’s a guy that really, in our opinion, gets better and better everyday. So just got to keep it going.”
Hopkins struggled during his rookie season, admitting to struggling with the playbook last season, and but still caught 52 passes for 802 yards. If an 800 yard season is with him struggling to grasp the playbook, he could have a big season in 2014 with a better grasp on the offense, which isn’t exactly the same as last years with the turnover in the coaching staff.
He might be a player to consider taking alte in your fantasy football league if you’re looking for a sleeper pick.
