Eric Bledsoe rumors: Bledsoe too expensive for Philadelphia 76ers
In what has come as a surprise to many, Phoenix Suns’ guard Eric Bledsoe remains a free agent. There a few reasons he may not have been signed – Bledsoe has an extensive injury history and most teams likely believed the Suns would match any offer for Bledsoe. Signing him to an offer sheet would simply tie up cap room in Bledsoe for three days and that team would be unable to make a move.

The only team that could still offer a Bledsoe a mega-deal the Suns may not be able to match is the Philadelphia 76rs but Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders believes Bledsoe is going to cost too much for the 76ers and they are not in a position to pay that kind of money.
"Eric is going to cost way too much… Philly isn’t in a position to maximize Bledsoe for anything other than botching drafting position. No sense in paying a guy MAX if you are not going to be able to do anything with him. There is a reason Philly isn’t spending money. They are running the team on the cheap while they rebuild, leveraging their cap flexibility to gain assets and develop their young guys. It would be spending major money for no reason.Anything less than MAX gets matched."
Bledsoe averaged 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 47.7% from the field, 35.7% from beyond the arc and 77.2% from the free throw line last season. In his career, he’s put up 8.7 points, 3.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting 44.5% from the field, 32.7% from three and 75.9% from the free throw line.
