Kevin Love trade rumors: Deal between Cleveland-Minnesota ‘is done’
Another day, more Kevin Love rumors, this time stemming from a radio appearance.
In a radio interview, ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst revealed the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves have all but agreed on a deal revolving around superstar Kevin Love and first overall pick Andrew Wiggins.
"“The deal is done, but not done,” Windhorst said. “The teams have agreed, but they can’t say they have agreed and they can’t agree because we are in this weird moratorium period. Because you can’t trade Andrew Wiggins until the 23rd of this month.”"

While Windhorst’s news can’t be passed off as immediate fact, the latest information on the rumored trade that has dominated the summer falls in line with what we’ve recently heard. Once Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor confirmed Love would be traded on the 23rd or 24th of August, the entire scenario became a matter of who and it seems that who, as we’ve all expected, is the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Once LeBron James made his decision to return ‘home’, it seemed all but guaranteed that Love would end up a member of the Cavaleirs. Having a highly-touted prospect in Andrew Wiggins, the 2014 number one overall pick, allowed the Cavaliers to trump any other publicized offers (CHI, GSW, DEN). By pairing Kyrie Irving and James with Love, the Cavaliers would put themselves in the position to not only compete in the Eastern Conference, but against whomever reigns from the West.
Now we wait.
