The Philadelphia 76ers have been dealing off talent for over a year, trading away point guard Jrue Holiday, guard Evan Turner, center Spencer Hawes and several other players to acquire young talent and draft picks.

Now, the 76ers look like they will involved in the Kevin Love deal between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Timberwolves will be getting swingman Andrew Wiggins in return and are said to prefer 76ers’ forward Thaddeus Young to Cavaliers’ forward Anthony Bennett, meaning Young could be on his way to Minnesota and Bennett to Philadelphia.

Dei Lynam of CSN Philly believes the 76ers are trading too many talented players.

"Yes, draft picks and other contracts are reportedly involved in the deal, but less appears to be more in Hinkie’s eyes.Young is the highest paid player on the Sixers’ roster for 2014-15 at $9.4 million, and he has a player option for $9.7 million the following season.Bennett is in the second year of a rookie contract.Young-for-Bennett gives the Sixers less talent and less team salary. Finally, Sims is an undrafted center who, in two NBA seasons, has played a total of 48 games. The theme is familiar. The Sixers will field a team this fall that is young, inexperienced and inexpensive."

Young went for 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.1 steals per game and shot 45.4% from the field, 30.8% from beyond the arc and 71.2% from the free throw line this season. Love averaged 26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game last season while shooting 45.7% from the field, 37.6% from three and 82.1% from the charity stripe last season. Bennett averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting 35.6% from the field, 24.5% from beyond the arc and 63.8% from the free throw line. Wiggins averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game for the Kansas Jayhawks last season while shooting 44.8% from the field, 34.1% from beyond the arc and 77.5% from the free throw line.
