Before any of the United States teams can play for that right, however, they must first win their respective region. The United States side of the bracket is comprised of regional champions from across the country. To win that regional championship, there are various smaller tournaments held on neutral sites across the country, where the goal is to be able to earn the right to travel to Williamsport.
With that being said, here is a look at the Northwest Regional tournament that will play out over the next week.
Northwest Regional
Site: San Bernardino, Calif.
Dates: Aug. 1 – Aug. 9
Participants: Eagle River, Alaska, Lewiston, Idaho, Billings, Mont., Bend, Ore., Lynwood, Wash., and Cody, Wy.
