Classic sports cliches get hilariously true illustrations (Photo)

If there’s one common thread that links all sports of all kinds, it’s not the superhuman athletes who play the games or intense fandom that breeds all over the world — it’s those pesky sports clichés that we hear spouted off every single day.

No matter if it’s a preseason game, a or the Little League World Series, sport clichés are everywhere and they’re getting to the point where they’re so bad and cheesy that they can’t help it but be classic sayings that we all learn at the earliest of ages.

Thankfully, the folks over at Bleacher Report have found a way to liven up the tired old sports clichés we’ve been hearing on television and reading in the papers for years and years by giving them their own personal illustrations to both help us better understand just exactly what they all mean and to make them all more exciting than they are to say.

Here’s a few of the highlights:

The real question is when will the next great sports cliché be created? This seems like the sort of promotion that ESPN would jump at in half a minute, just to say they created something new in the sports world, so maybe someone should try to get them on board with that as we need more sports clichés in the world and we need them now.
