Steve Ballmer says Los Angeles Clippers were never moving to Seattle
By Josh Hill
Steve Ballmer made his billions with Bill Gates and Microsoft but he did so in more of a muscle way than Gates did in the traditional geek way. Ballmer has always been blunt and often times aggressive in his presentation of his life and his work and he’s never beat around the bush about much.

This is why it’s of no surprise that he’s still stomping his foot down when the idea of moving his newly acquired Los Angeles Clippers to his adopted hometown city of Seattle comes up.
According to the Seattle Times, Ballmer again stated that the Clippers will not and never were going to be moving to Seattle when he purchased them back in June. In fact, he even threw out the huge figure he paid for the team as proof he won’t be moving the Clippers anytime soon.
"“Probably most people will tell you I paid an L.A. beachfront price, not a Seattle beachfront price for the team,” he said. “I’m not crazy.”"
He’s got a point and one that should end all conspiracy theories out there that the Clippers are bound for Seattle. Ballmer could have purchased a much cheaper team like the Sacramento Kings or any of the other struggling teams in the NBA and moved them out of the garbage markets and into Seattle.
Ballmer didn’t do that though, instead he paid $2 billion for the Clippers and moving them out of Los Angeles at that price would be bad business — something Ballmer just doesn’t do.
