Listen up, you guys, because it is not easy being Washington Redskins’ team owner Daniel Snyder. Here he is, worrying about the real issues that face Native Americans, while you jerks just pressure him to change his team name because you find it offensive.

In comments relayed by Fox News this week, Snyder took a shot at the pressure that is being placed on him to change his team’s name, calling it “chit-chat, cocktail talk.”

Snyder insists that he is the one who sees the real problems here, while the rest of us screw it up by focusing on the wrong issue. Oh, and it is the internet’s fault too.

"Snyder laments that too many in the media and on the internet simply try to increase ratings or up the amount of clicks they can get by exploiting the Redskins controversy. Snyder asserted that the “reality is, no one ever talks about what’s going on on the reservations, the fact that they have such high unemployment rates, health care issues, education issues, environmental issues, lack of water, lack of electricity.”"

I’ll see your point and I’ll raise you one, Mr. Snyder. What if I told you it was possible to change your offensive team name and allocate more focus to the issues that you cite here? Wouldn’t that be a wonderful world?

Why we have to have one and not the other, according to Snyder, only proves this to be his latest tactic to stall the inevitable change that is coming to the mascot for the NFL team in Washington.
