Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt has quickly become one of the leagues best players overall, let alone the NFL’s best defensive end. Watt’s NFL accolades are numerous as he is a two time Pro Bowler, the 2012 NFL sacks leader, and the 2012 NFL defensive player of the year.

More from Houston Texans

Considering his talents as a defensive end, many fans and pundits alike have wondered how Watt would fare in other professional sports. Today, Watt gave some insight to how he would perform on the soccer pitch. His position of choice? None other than the goalkeeper.

Going 1 for 1 is not too bad for a player who has likely never tried his hands as a goalkeeper.

Keeping things in perspective, Watt has absolutely no desire to leave the Texans or the NFL to pursue a career as a soccer star, and I am sure the fans in Houston thank him.

If Watt ever does decide to try his hand at professional soccer, Houston does have the Dynamo of the MLS just around the bend. Could this be the beginning of a two sport athlete the likes of Bo Jackson? Probably not, but it is fun to think about anyways.
