Some youngsters may not know this, but the variety of green currently sported by the Philadelphia Eagles has not always been their hue of preference. Once upon a time the Eagles wore a brighter shade of green known as Kelly Green, but changed shades in the ’90s, going to the darker Midnight Green we see on their uniforms today.

But now the Eagles may be ready to turn back to the clock on their primary uniform color. Eagles president Don Smolenksi told the 94WIP Morning Show that Philly is considering reverting to Kelly Green, a color that hasn’t been seen on the Eagles in years outside of throwbacks (via CBS Philly).

"“We have talked about it and there are some rules with the NFL that provides some restrictions that we’re trying to work through, but that’s going to take some time,” Smolenski told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show during an in-studio visit on Wednesday. “It’s there, and it’s something that we do talk about, but until some things change at the NFL level it’s going to provide restrictions for us. It is being talked about it, yes.”"

Why would the NFL stand in the way of the Eagles if they want to make this change? The NFL is very dumb sometimes. Let the Eagles go back to their old green, Roger Goodell, or suffer the wrath of Philly fans.
