Head coach Les Miles and the LSU Tigers are no strangers to early commitments. They already have a pledge from class of 2018 quarrterback Zadock Dinkelmann and class of 2017 outside linebacker/running back Dylan Moses has been committed to the Tigers for almost a year.

The Tigers entered the day with commitments from class of 2016 4-Star quarterback Feleipe Franks and 4-Star wide receiver Stephen Sullivan. On Thursday, they added their third 2016 commitment when 4-Star wide receiver Dee Anderson gave his pledge to the Tigers. Anderson camped with the Tigers just two weeks ago and Miles offered Anderson a scholarship. It clearly didn’t take long for him to make his decision.
“I committed to LSU because it was the perfect fit for me,” Anderson told 247Sports Recruiting Insider Justin Hopkins. “From the offense to the way they use receivers to the engineering program. It was a great fit.”
Anderson has fantastic at 6’4 and 177 and has plenty of time to grow into his body. He is from Mesquite, Texas and attends West Mesquite High School. He is ranked the country’s 26th-best wide receiver prospect, the 13th-best overall prospect in the state of Texas and the 119th-best overall prospect in the class of 2016 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Anderson also holds offers from the Boise State Broncos, Tennessee Volunteers, UCLA Bruins and Washington Huskies, among others. Anderson told reporters the Georgia Bulldogs were Tigers’s biggest competition.
LSU’s 2016 class now ranks sixth in the country, trailing (in order) the Miami Hurricanes, Baylor Bears, Tennessee Volunteers, Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide.
