Losing should be second-nature to former NFL quarterback Scott Mitchell, who played his career in places like Detroit, Miami and Cincinnati—but apparently he’ll be in store for a different type of losing in the coming months.

More from NFL

According to Pro Football Talk, the former NFL quarterback will be joined by former NFL offensive lineman Damien Woody on the upcoming season of hit NBC show “The Biggest Loser.”

Mitchell apparently weighs in at a whopping 366 pounds, while Woody (who was always large) is just a few pounds short of the 400-pound mark.

While playing in the NFL, Mitchell was never considered a small quarterback. He weighed in around 240 pounds for most of his career.

According to his bio on the show page, Mitchell is motivated by seeing his dad die from obesity-related issues and doesn’t want to see that happen for his children either. Mitchell has five kids who range in age from 11 to 21 and has been battling his weight since turning 35.

Woody on the other hand, he’s been in the limelight ever since his career ended. He’s currently an NLF analyst with ESPN and has ballooned since his playing days.

Having two former NFL players on the show is a great way to showcase the struggles that former players go through once the game is over. Often players see their weight fluctuate big time following the end of a career—some sliming down, while others battling against obesity.

The new season of “The Biggest Loser” will begin Sept. 11 at 8pm Eastern time.
