Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was an integral part of their Super Bowl winning campaign. Lynch felt like he deserved more money and held out for a new contract extension but ended it at the end of July.

Lynch ended up getting a $1.5 million raise, which wasn’t what he was looking for but it was a win. Showing up late to training camp isn’t necessarily great for preparing for an upcoming season, but quarterback Russell Wilson doesn’t see any rust.
“He’s doing an unbelievable job,” Wilson told USA Today’s For The Win. “He’s one of the best running backs of the game, and he knows how to get right back in there and play the game.
“He’s a great teammate. He loves the game of football. He loves people, he loves kids, he loves getting involved with the community. A lot of people misunderstand him. But the guys on this team we really understand who he is, where he comes from, what he means to, you know, not just to us, but to so many kids across the country.”
He also says the offense feels great as a whole.
“We feel great. The guys look unbelievable. Percy Harvin is doing really well. Same with Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse. Those are guys that look extremely good.
“And obviously to have Marshawn [Lynch] back out there helps as well. The guys are clicking. We’re very confident. We’re all on the same page.”
