The Houston Texans had a rough season in 2013, finishing a league worst 2-14. It has prompted veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson to voice his discontent with the direction of the franchise and prospect of being apart of another rebuilding process.

According to Houston Texans owner Bob McNair, there might not be much of a rebuilding phase. In fact he thinks the Texans will contend with the Indianapolis Colts for a division title next season.
“In the broadest sense, I think we’ll be a winning team,” McNair said, via John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. “I think we’ll be competitive in our division. Our goal is to win our division. I think it’s an achievable goal.
“Last year, we lacked mental toughness, and Bill’s (O’Brien) dealing with that. He’s going to have a team that’s tough mentally and physically.
“Look at all the close games we lost (nine defeats by seven or fewer points). In some cases, mental errors did it. He’s gotten the attention of the team. It’s going to be a disciplined team that plays hard. If we stay healthy, I think we’ll be very competitive.”
