Cleveland Cavaliers confident Kevin Love will re-sign
By Josh Hill
The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to acquire Kevin Love from the MInnesota Timberwolves, but part of that is about getting word from Love that he’s going to be re-signing with the team and be there beyond just this season.

That’s a commitment that the Cavaliers have not gotten yet but it’s something that they’re confident they’re going to be getting from the All-Star forward.
According to Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein of ESPN, the Cleveland Cavaliers are more confident now more than they were before that Kevin Love will sign an extension with the team thanks to the power of LeBron James.
"Sources say the clincher from Cleveland’s perspective, though, was James’ firm belief that he will be able to convince Love to stay as a teammate going into the future, even without a contractual commitment after this year. That made the Cavs more comfortable parting with Wiggins, who is a potential All-Star and would’ve been under contract with the Cavs for at least the next five seasons under much more favorable terms."
Of course, Love can’t verbally commit to the Cavaliers beyond this year or he’d be violating league rules, but having LeBron in town is going to go a long way in making sure Cleveland is as attractive as possible for Love when it comes time for him to re-sign in the summer of 2015.
