By Josh Hill
The Detroit Pistons are trying to figure something out with their big man Greg Monroe, but so far nothing has happened in terms of working out a contract or getting a a sign-and-trade accomplished.

But while the Pistons are looking possibly doing something with Monroe, they haven’t made it abundantly clear just what they plan on doing. Even Monroe is confused and a bit lost when it comes to what his future holds. That being said, the Pistons and Monroe are seemingly going to talk soon about their future and what is in store next for both the player and the team.
According Matt Dollinger, the Pistons and Monroe sound like they’re talking about a contract, but that doesn’t seem to be anything particularly new.
"I’m heading back Saturday. We’re still trying to sort things out. I’m really not sure what is going to happen, I’ve just enjoyed my time here, and it’s been nice to get away and do something positive with my time."
That seems to be Monroe saying two things about one situation, as the big man isn’t confident that he’s going to be staying in Detroit and might even want out, but is open to getting paid to play basketball just about anywhere this upcoming season.
