The Cleveland Cavaliers are close to acquiring Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves, and already LeBron James is getting excite for what it means for his team.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

But rather than be excited about the production that Love is going to bring the Cavaliers, LeBron is happy about something else that Love will bring to the Cavaliers this year, should he be officially acquired.

According to Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein of ESPN, the only thing that LeBron James cares about when it comes to Kevin Love is his basketball IQ.

"“I don’t even really care about the 26 [points] and 12 [rebounds], I care about his basketball IQ. His basketball IQ is very, very high. I had the opportunity to spend 32 days with him in the 2012 Olympics. He was huge for us … he’s a great piece.”"

It’s hard to see LeBron James saying this is Love didn’t consistently pick up the stats that he does, so this is more or less LeBron not worrying about Love’s production the way he would have to for someone else. Still, high basketball IQ is something that eluded the old teams that were put together in Cleveland for LeBron James, so having someone like Love around is obviously something that is going to make LeBron much happier than he was before.
