Top 5 questions regarding a Los Angeles Rams NFL return
5. If for whatever reason Kroenke gets a new stadium in St. Louis and keeps the team in Missouri, would the L.A. relocation talk fall mute? Is it 2015 or bust for the fine citizens of L.A.?
L.A. Sports Hub’s, Jason Gold:
"“It’s definitely not 2015 or bust for Angelenos, that much is fact. We’ve been without a team for 20 years now, but the tide seems to be shifting our way. If Kroenke got a new stadium and kept the Rams in St. Louis it would represent a blow to our hopes of getting a team; however, with the Raiders stadium situation in flux and the owners, such as Robert Kraft and Jerry Jones, calling for a team in Los Angeles within the next five years I don’t think the relocations talk would fall mute. Remember, this is the NFL and 32 billionaires were talking about. They usually, and by usually I mean always, get what they want. If they want a franchise or two in L.A., then that’s what’s going to happen. It’s just a matter of time.”"
The USC Trojans play in the Los Angeles Coliseum. Their collegiate rivals, the UCLA Bruins, play in the Rose Bowl. Those teams have 12 to 14 home games a year. The NFL has grown tremendously on and off the field since the league last had teams in Los Angeles. It offers more than college teams can deliver. There is a huge demand for the NFL is SoCal.
Debate on the NFL’s future in Los Angeles is over. The time is now; the NFL is ready. Take this to the bank — the NFL will be back in Los Angeles in the next two or three years.
