After missing most of last season with an injury, the Wizards veteran has decided to not return to the team and will instead be taking his talents overseas to China. According to NBA scribe Jared Zwerling, Harrington will be playing for the Fujian SBS Xunxing for at least one year.
Beyond his deal in China, Zwerling points out that the NBA career of Harrington is not over, as he’s been looking at coaching for the Wizards but isn’t yet ready to make that leap and end his playing career to start one on the bench.
Harrington helped out with the Wizards Summer League team, which means that he’s already getting his feet wet when it comes to getting on the bench and beginning to coach, but that’s a step he’s not going to be taking for at least a year as Harrington’s talents remain on the court — they’re just going to appear on courts around China.
