The Houston Texans took on the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL preseason on Saturday, and lost 32-0. Now that certainly would be an embarrassing scoreline in a regular season game, and while not desirable it is important to remember that it is just a preseason game.

New Texans head coach Bill O’Brien wasn’t necessarily thrilled with the performance and was critical of his team.

“Tonight was not a good night of football,” O’Brien said, via the Houston Chronicle. “It all starts with me. … It was bad football.”

But it is just a preseason game, with a new head coach, a new quarterback and a lot of moving parts. While the Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt pairing seemed to be a bright spot, the defense was shoddy, particularly in the secondary with holes that don’t appear to have been filled or addressed.
