Former Heisman trophy winner and current New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has had a mediocre career in the NFL thus far, but he plans to change that in his fourth season with the team.

More from New Orleans Saints

In the last three years with the Saints, Ingram has only surpassed 500 rushing yards once, and has not scored more than 5 touchdowns in a single season in his career.

While pundits and fans alike have doubted his ability to become a premier back in the NFL, his offseason play thus far is making a few people change their minds as we head into the 2014 regular season.

In the Saints preseason opener, Ingram dominated the St. Louis Rams as he ran for 83 yards on eight carries, including a sensational 22 yard run for a touchdown in the second quarter.

In practice today, Ingram picked up where he left off against the Rams as he continued to break out big runs against the defense. Check out one of the great runs Ingram had during today’s practice:

Fantasy football players should be on the lookout for Ingram in the later rounds as a potential hidden gem this season.
