Sam Bradford will play in next preseason game for Rams
By Dan Zinski
Sam Bradford hasn’t stepped on a football field in a competitive game since last October, but that is finally set to change, if you actually consider preseason contests to be “competitive games.”

Even if it doesn’t count as a real football game, Bradford will make his 2014 debut in the Rams’ upcoming preseason matchup against the Packers.
"“He’s going play,” Fisher said of Bradford. “I haven’t decided how much, but he’s going to play this week.”"
Bradford was among nine starters who sat out the Rams’ preseason opener against the Saints. Most of those starters were not coming off an ACL tear like Bradford.
One anticipates Bradford seeing only limited action in the Packer game, possibly one series just to get his feet wet. After a major injury the main thing is for the player to get back on the field and start building up his confidence that the body part he had surgery on will be able to hold up.
The Rams want Bradford to trust his knee going into the season. And Bradford wants to see some live game action and get into the flow before being tossed into the fire in a real game.
With Bradford at QB, the Rams have a chance to be a factor in the highly competitive NFC West. They have a fine defense and if their offense can function at a decent level, the playoffs are not out of the question.
