But while Wiggins was being pulled in and out of trade talks for the better part of the last month or so, there came a breaking point in which he decided that he just wanted to be traded as it would be the best thing for his growth as a player, not because he hates the Cavaliers.

According to Wiggins, who spoke with USA Today, the rookie wanted to get traded out of Cleveland after all the rumors of such a thing happening started to get kicked up.

"“When all this trade stuff started, I talked to Andrew and Andrew told me, “I hope I get traded,” Self said. “And I’m like, ‘No you don’t.’ And he said, “Coach, I do. It’s better for me, knowing my personality and what I need to do, to go somewhere where I’m forced to be something as opposed to going in there where they’re going to be patient with me and I’m going to be a piece.”"

Wiggins doesn’t seem to hold any animosity towards the Cavaliers, but he does seem happy to just have the trade talks resolved. Minnesota isn’t the best place to play basketball right now but the Wolves having Wiggins and allowing him to grow at his own pace is probably best for all.
