Greg Monroe says he didn’t turn down big contract from Pistons
By Josh Hill
The Detroit Pistons are looking at what they can do with Greg Monroe, and one option is to simply re-sign him to the big contract that he wants.

But the problem with giving Monroe a big contract is that the Pistons just don’t want to do that and that’s why they haven’t yet offered him a big deal.
There have been rumors that a big deal has been offered to Monroe and he’s been turning them down because he doesn’t want to play in Detroit, but that just doesn’t seem to be the case at the moment.
There were rumors about what kind of contract that Monroe was going to get, but the Pistons have been in no rush to offer him the max contract that he wants, which is why there was no massive contract in this scenario to turn down.
Monroe will find a home eventually, and the recent Roy Hibbert trade rumors suggest that home might be in Indiana, but either way, Monroe wants to get paid big money from anyone, which means he’s not turning down big deals like the one mentioned that don’t even exist.
