We’ve made it! Football is back, and with that comes the over analyzing of the preseason, trying to find any advantage we can for our upcoming drafts. Many fantasy champions are made in the preseason. From analyzing rookies to scoping out all of the off-season moves, I will try to help you prepare as well. This series has to do with fantasy trends from last weekend’s bevy of preseason games. I hope you’ve enjoyed my rundowns of the preseason games!

Green Bay Packers vs Tennessee Titans
- Everything fantasy relevant came from the Titans side of the ball. Bishop Sankey ran well, and looks like the running back to own in this offense. Sankey ran for 37 yards on 13 carries and also racked up 38 yards on three receptions. The rookie could definitely give you a boost in PPR leagues, but for now is still only a flex/RB 3 option.
- Zach Mettenberger played well, going 4 of 7 for 87 yards and an interception that was the fault of the intended receiver, Jackie Battle. Mettenberger is fantasy relevant because Jake Locker and is on thin ice. One more big injury and he could be on his way out. And, well, if he plays like he did when he was healthy last year, he could also be on the way out. Mettenberger is a good option in dynasty formats for this reason, even though he may not see much, if any, time on the field this year.
- Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy, and Jordy Nelson were all given the night off, so that means there wasn’t much excitement for the Packers, right? Wrong. Scott Tolzien played very well, going 8 for 12 for 124 yards. Honestly, he looked better than current backup Matt Flynn. Stay tuned, there may be a battle for the backup QB position going on here.
