In a statement, Scandrick apologized for letting down his teammates and coaching staff, while his agent Ron Slavin claimed the positive drug test would not have resulted in a suspension if the NFL and NFLPA had previously reached an agreement on their HGH policy.
There were reports that Scandrick failed his test because of a recreational drug, and now there are more reports surfacing to clarify the substance Scandrick used.
According to Ed Werder of ESPN, Scandrick was vacationing with his ex-girlfriend in Mexico when he ingested MDMA — more commonly known as Molly.
Whether or not that substance was intentionally taken seems to be up for debate.
Scandrick’s statement said that he unknowingly took the substance, so he seems to want people to believe that someone put the Molly in his drink when he wasn’t looking.
