But there are a handful of players that we will be paying special attention to their schedule as there are a number of players poised for All-Star breakout years this upcoming season.
According to Alex Kennedy from Basketball Insiders, three players who could finally become first time All-Stars this year are DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings, Al Jefferson from the Charlotte Hornets and Kyle Lowry from the Toronto Raptors.
"I’d go with DeMarcus Cousins, Al Jefferson and Kyle Lowry. Those guys probably should’ve made the team last year, and I expect them to put up similar numbers this year. Jeremy Lin is a possibly too, since he’ll have a ton of votes from international voters and Lakers Nation."
Cousins is an interesting name to consider as he’s seemed very motivated to make the Team USA roster and has put in hard work all offseason long to get into shape. So the heart and the hunger is already there, as is the motivation and the gusto to make it all happen which means this could be a breakout year for Cousins in Sacramento.
