Forward – Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks

The general consensus is that Giannis (and we’re going to call him Giannis in this space) would be the top overall pick if the NBA decided to re-draft the class of 2013, and it is tough to argue against that notion. Giannis is still listed at 6-foot-9, but many believe that he is closer to 7-feet tall at this juncture, and at just 19 years old, he possesses an incredibly rare combination of length, athleticism and skill that would make any long-term scout salivate.

At the age of 18, he wasn’t terribly effective last season, shooting under 42% from the floor and averaging just 10.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per 36 minutes, but there were plenty of brilliant flashes. In the Summer, Milwaukee made the calculated decision to deploy Giannis as the team’s point guard in Las Vegas at times, and while he struggled in ball security, it is plainly scary to see his ball-handling capability at his size.

It remains to be seen as to what type of player he will eventually become, but the Bucks are fully invested in Giannis Antetokounmpo, and his upside is frightening.
