Paul Pierce to return to play Boston Celtics on December 7th
By Josh Hill
There are few players in the NBA that have meant more to a franchise than Paul Pierce meant to the Boston Celtics. That’s why two years after he left the team in a trade, his return to the TD Garden is still a big deal to both Pierce himself and the fans of Boston.

Also for the second straight year, Pierce will be returning to the TD Garden in a new uniform, as his one year with the Brooklyn Nets ended less than spectacularly and he has taken his talents to the nation’s capital and the Washington Wizards. The NBA schedule was released on Wednesday night and as a result, Celtics fans will be rushing out to get tickets to the December 7th game when Pierce returns to Boston, this time in a Wizards jersey.
The Celtics and Pierce are connected forever, and while he may be returning yet again in a uniform that isn’t Celtic green, he’s going to be received very well by the fans who hate to see him come back with another team but are just happy to see him home where he belongs — even if only for one game.
