The NBA will be extending the length of its all-star weekend starting next season, according to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
NBA's experiment with extended All-Star break worked into '14-'15 schedule. For teams, minimum break between games is 8 days; some longer.

While some NBA fans might dislike this move, as it deprives us of regular season play for at least eight days, this decision makes a lot of sense from the players’ perspective.
The NBA regular season can be a grind and this will give every player, including the NBA superstars participating in the all-star game, the appropriate rest. Ultimately, this will benefit the fan as fresher players often leads to better on-court performance.
Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel broke the news that the NBA was considering this idea late in July and mentioned then that such a move could result in the 2015-16 season starting earlier than a typical NBA year.
"With the elongated All-Star break, the possibility of then starting the 2015-16 season a week earlier also has been deliberated recently, although that dynamic has yet to gain traction, according to an NBA source familiar with the situation, with such a move potentially requiring an adjustment in the collective-bargaining agreement."
It’s not known at this time whether that specific change is a part of the NBA’s plan here.
The NBA will officially release its full 2014-15 schedule at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
