Well it seems as if the two-game suspension that was recently handed down to talented Northwestern running back Venric Mark won’t matter all that much anymore, seeing as he has just decided to transfer from the school for “personal reasons.”

It was announced last week that Mark had been suspended for the first two games of the 2014 regular season, and he even recently noted that while he was shocked that a punishment had been given to him, he was still going to embrace it.

“Does it hurt? Yeah, it hurts really bad,” Mark said Tuesday after practice. “But there’s no point in pouting. I’m going to embrace it.”
He even went so far as to say that he was going to use his suspension to help the team.
“If you don’t do something right,” he said, “I’m going to call you out on it. But I’m going to do it in a respectful way. I can’t always be your friend. I’m a teammate, and teammates make sure teammates do the right thing.”
Well, he will not be doing that any longer, because he won’t be with them going forward.
Mark, arguably the most dynamic player that the Wildcats have, was granted a medical hardship waiver after missing a majority of the season last year. His best year with the program came back in 2012 when he rushed for 1,366 yards.
