After an outstanding NFL debut last weekend for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Thursday night would mark the second appearance in a preseason game for rookie quarterback Blake Bortles with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he began to impress once again.

Projected starter Chad Henne started the game, but late in the second quarter, we saw the no. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. However, it should be noted that he was getting some nice help from his wide receivers, especially Mike Brown.
Watch on this 2nd-and-10 play from near the 50 yard line where Bortles does a great job of escaping trouble and rolling to his right. Then, he fires an absolute laser to Brown, who then proceeds to get the Jaguars some serious yardage in the process.
So far through the first half, Bortles, again, has been mighty impressive. Showing good command of the offense once again, Bortles is 7-of-10 for 114 yards. He should be getting some more reps in the second half as well.
But the fact of the matter is, through just a game and a half of preseason, Bortles is making keeping him off the field a very hard decision for head coach Gus Bradley.
