With Abraham being a veteran, it was never believed that his spot on the roster would be in jeopardy, but could he possibly have lost his starting spot to a different camp stand out?
Well, according to Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians, that was never possible.
“We’ll see what kind of condition he is [in] and get him physically ready,” Arians said, via the Arizona Republic. “Yeah, he’s going to be our starting ‘Will’ linebacker. There’s no doubt about that. He’s never been out of those plans.”
Abraham will not play in the Cardinals’ Week 2 preseason game this weekend, but he will be returning to practice next week.
It is going to be interesting to see what kind of shape he will be in when he returns to the field, but Arians and company do not appear to be too concerned.
