Brent Celek gets helmet knocked off on big hit (Video)

The Philadelphia Eagles have options at tight end moving forward, as the team has Zach Ertz growing into a larger role, but they also have veteran Brent Celek to throw in the mix every so often, as he knows the offense and knows how to be efficient.

But even the best of veterans are susceptible to being on the wrong ends of big hits, and that’s where Celek found himself on Friday night. After making a catch, Celek got blown up so bad that he lost his helmet as a result.
Celek is still a decent target for the Eagles, even with Zach Ertz in town to eventually replace him, but seeing him get hit like that shows that there’s some tread being peeled off Celek’s tires.
One hit won’t determine Celek’s season, but it’s not a hit he’s going to look back on fondly, especially now that there’s competition at his position.
