The New York Jets gave Mark Sanchez more than a few chances to show that he’s a capable NFL quarterback, but he failed to live up tot he hype. This offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles decided to give Sanchez a chance and so far the decision has been paying off.

After having a rather solid training camp so far, Sanchez is playing his way into either a backup role with the Eagles or is showing himself off for a potential trade as he’s continuing to look good in both practice and game situations. The highlight of Sanchez’s night so far against the Patriots came when he tied the game up after leading the team down the field for a touchdown.
That’s right, Mark Sanchez threw a touchdown — and there were no butts and/or fumbles involved.

What should really be talked about is that catch by Arrelious Benn, as the throw looks less impressive knowing that it bounced around a little, but the bottom line is that Mark Sanchez threw a touchdown pass and no one can take that away fro him — and boy did they try.
