Carr played in Friday night’s game against the Detroit Lions, but he managed to get broken rather quickly, continuing the curse of being a Raiders quarterback.
So not only a concussion for Carr, but broken ribs and possibly a broken spirit? It would seem that after just a few preseason snaps, Derek Carr is about as broken as Batman.

Carr will eventually come back, but he can’t afford to have his spirit broken as quickly as his body has been. The Raiders have had the worst of luck with quarterbacks in the past, and that’s something that is clearly continuing with Carr, at least in the short term.
