But the season debut for Livingston may be put on hold though as the guard has undergone foot surgery and will be out the next 6-8 weeks. That causes a problem not only with Livingston’s preparation but with the Dubs as well, seeing as they didn’t know he needed surgery when they signed him.
According to Warriors beat writer Tim Kawakami, the Dubs were likely not expecting their free agent signing to require foot surgery, and his recovery may cut into his season debut with the team.
Livingston’s surgery Will have him out until the middle of October at the latest, with the Warriors season starting a few weeks after that. It’s unclear how banged up Livingston will be after his surgery, but there’s a chance he’s not ready for the start of the season, which isn’t what the Dubs signed up for when they gave Livingston a contract this summer.
