Pead went down early on in the Rams game against Green Bay and the initial diagnosis didn’t look good. Word after the game was even less encouraging as before the MRI can be completed tomorrow to fully assess the damage, the Rams are already fearing that Pead tore his ACL.
Jeff Fisher spoke with the media after the game and said as much about Pead’s injury and where the team feels things are going.
If he is indeed lost for the season, Pead will likely be replaced by rookie Tre Mason, who looked impressive in his carries against the Packers and is looking to find a role with the Rams.
That role could be as starter, as it’s looking like a spot at the top of the depth chart just opened up for all the Rams runners below Pead.
