Terrell Owens looking for NFL comeback?
By Will Perry
Does Terrell Owens want another shot at the NFL? When asked by ESPN Dallas if he could still play, Owens responded:
"“Absolutely. What kind of question is that? I worked out this morning. Looking good. Always looking to do something. You know, it’s all in God’s hands. You’ve just got to have the faith of a mustard seed and anything can happen. I haven’t ruled it out. I haven’t retired. I’ve kept myself in good enough shape to go in and help somebody if need be, but right now I’m in LA, doing some acting stuff, doing some business stuff.”"
In his 15-year NFL career, Terrell Owens averaged 1062 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 71 receptions per season.. In 2010, his final year with Cincinnati, he made 72 catches for 983 yards and scored nine touchdowns. For a player in his final year he had a pretty standard season, even at 36.

But can TO play at 40? None have tried other than Jerry Rice, who at 42 remarkably played a full season for the Seahawks/Raiders in 2004. The difference is that Rice played until he was 42 without missing seasons in between.
Owens has kept himself in shape and I’m sure would love a chance to play in the NFL again. His comments look a lot like an open invitation to the NFL. If he can churn out a season like 2010, any NFL team could use his services.
