On Tuesday, the country’s number-two ranked player, 5-Star defensive tackle Trent Thompson, gave his pledge to the Bulldogs. The move was expected but obviously is still something for the Bulldogs and their fans to get excited about. On Saturday, the Bulldogs showed just how powerful they can be on the recruiting trail when they flipped 4-Star strong-side defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter from the Alabama Crimson Tide.
That wasn’t their only commitment of the day – they also added 4-Star wide receiver Jayson Stanley on Saturday. The 6’2, 198-pounder is from Fairburn, Georgia and attends Creekside High School. He announced his commitment via twitter.

DeAntre “Tre Tre” Turman was a former teammate of Stanley at Creekside that broke his neck during a scrimmage and passed away.
Stanley is ranked as the country’s 26th-best wide receiver prospect, the 22nd-overall ranked prospect in the state of Georgia and the 222nd-best overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Stanley received an offer from the Bulldogs back in June and seemed to be narrowing things down to the Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers but an offer from the Oregon Ducks just over two weeks ago got them into the mix. He also holds offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators, Ohio State Buckeyes and South Carolina Gamecocks, among others.
Stanley is the Bulldogs’ 20th commitment and their class is now ranked fifth in the country.
