Golden State Warriors won’t consider trading Stephen Curry
Since LeBron James decided to leave the Miami Heat in favor of a return “home” to the Cleveland Cavaliers, there has been a lot of chatter about other players who could do the same thing. The most high profile player to discuss a return is Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant. Durant has not ruled out joining the Washington Wizards, potentially in 2016. Golden State Warriors’ guard Stephen Curry, who lived in Charlotte while his father, Dell, played for the Hornets, also admitted he’s thought about going back to Charlotte.

Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors doesn’t think Curry is going anywhere, doesn’t think the Warriors will even consider trading him and believes the Warriors are a heavy favorite to keep him.
"No. He’s under contract until the summer of 2017 on a bargain deal that includes no opt-outs. The Warriors are building toward title contention, and there’s no reason to make such a drastic move so far out from Curry’s free agency. Is the idea of Curry going to Charlotte a threat? Sure. But the Warriors will have Curry’s Bird rights to pay him more than Charlotte could, and that’s a powerful weapon."
Curry put up 24.0 points, 8.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 47.1% from the floor, 42.4% from beyond the arc and 88.5% from the free throw line last season. In his five-year career, he’s averaged 20.3 points, 6.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 46.7% from the floor, 44.0% from three and 89.6% from the charity stripe.
