According to the average draft position of the top ranked players in fantasy football, most people are selecting Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy with the first overall pick. With McCoy dead set on reaching 2000 rushing yards this season, it is easy to understand why he is so highly sought after in the world of fantasy football.
Fans of McCoy were given a scare today when it was reported that he was injured during the Eagles team practice alongside the New England Patriots. Tim McManus, and Eagles beat reporter, gives us the play by play on Twitter:

McCoy said his toe has been bothering him. X ray, MRI came up clean.

"You could say a small version of turf toe," said McCoy, less serious.

Turf toe is a very serious injury that can keep even the most elite running backs sidelined. Thankfully the injury seems to be minor right now, but McCoy and the Eagles would be smart to rest him a bit prior to the regular season.
Although McCoy would love the touches in the preseason, the Eagles need him to produce during the regular season. If he gets back out on the field, McCoy and the Eagles are risking further injury.
